The RINGOMAN jacket is somewhat of an enigma, even by standards. The name might bring about thoughts of a certain Beatles member but looking to the Japanese language might offer some help. In Japanese ringo [] means "apple". So by that logic this coat may have origins in the world of apple picking. That might explain the curious pockets...
Those aforementioned pockets are both odd in shape and placement. Up front you have some pretty standard locations, but it's abundantly clear the left pocket is vastly bigger than the right. The wildest pocket however is placed on the back, with a large pouch with multiple entry points. If we go back to the apple picking narrative, this would be pretty helpful when you're loading up on nature's bounty.
The construction itself is made with two fabrics: a linen twill for the body and a cotton/poly chino for the sleeves and pockets.
